MyRemodelQuote costs $149 a month and prices only from the rate card you load. If the cheaper tool does what you need, buy the cheaper tool.

We build MyRemodelQuote, so this is not a neutral review: we have an interest in you choosing ours. What we can offer instead of neutrality is checkability. Every claim about the other product is quoted from their own site with the date we read it, anything they do not state is marked unknown rather than absent, and there is a section below on what they do better than us.
Start with the price, because it is the whole conversation. SimplyWise's own pages list $29.99 a month, or $239.99 a year, about $20 a month. MyRemodelQuote is $149. We are roughly five times the price, and no feature list makes that difference disappear. If you are a one-person operation who wants a fast number from a photo on a phone, their app is the obvious buy and we would rather say so than pretend otherwise.
The difference that earns the gap, if anything does, is whose numbers reach the client. SimplyWise prices from a national database adjusted for your region, with materials pulled from the nearest Home Depot to your ZIP code. That is genuinely useful on day one and it is also a number you did not set: their own FAQ tells you to set your hourly rate by typing it into the project description or editing line items after the fact, and adds "always check local prices before you send". MyRemodelQuote goes the other way. You load a rate card once, and from then on every dollar is yours, with no vendor data behind it.
The second difference is the shape of the quote. MyRemodelQuote puts Good / Better / Best on every quote, because the three-option conversation is how remodels get sold. SimplyWise states plainly that it cannot: "there isn't a way to create a single estimate with multiple options (such as Option A and Option B) within the same estimate", and suggests duplicating the estimate instead. If you sell with tiers, that is the line that decides it.
The third is whether a second person can check the work. MyRemodelQuote has estimator and reviewer roles at $149, and four estimators plus two reviewers at $449. SimplyWise says "we do not currently offer a team plan for the Estimator app" and that sharing means handing over your account, with "full access to your account with no way to limit their access", while markup and business settings do not sync between devices. For a solo contractor that is irrelevant. For a crew where one person quotes and the owner approves, it is the difference between software and a shared password.
One more thing worth knowing before you compare feature lists: SimplyWise publishes two different answers about its own web app on the same FAQ page, saying both that the web version is "now at feature parity with the mobile app" and that it "doesn't offer full functionality", with LiDAR, renders and voice listed as mobile-only. We are not going to tell you which is true. We are telling you it is worth checking on a desktop before you buy, if you quote from a desk.

Ours earns its $149 only if you sell in three tiers, want every figure to be yours alone, need a reviewer who is not the estimator, or want your call-out work priced once and applied to every quote.
